Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Beats Grovetown for Their Third Straight Win

Lakeside entered their tilt with Grovetown on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Lakeside won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Grovetown saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Adelena Marquez had 13 digs and two aces.

Lakeside's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Coincidentally, Lakeside and Grovetown will both be playing Davidson Fine Arts the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
