Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Wellston's 12th in Last 13 Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wellston had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Southeastern Panthers by a score of 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Rockets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Southeastern's batters probably weren't too happy with Hannah Potts, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 16 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Potts has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Wellston secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Karly Rinehart, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Wellston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season. As for Southeastern, they moved to 12-15-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Wellston nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
