Baseball Recap: Fenton Takes a Loss

Fenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-4 on Monday.

Fenton's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fenton will host Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bison are facing the Maroons at the right time seeing as the Maroons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Riverside-Brookfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reavis at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
