Volleyball Recap: Arlington Victorious

Arlington posted their closest win since August 24, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the La Quinta Blackhawks, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Arlington was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (60-56), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 27-25, 15-10.

La Quinta's loss came despite strong showings from Lola Carde and Audrenna Salter. Carde had 14 assists and three aces, while Salter had four blocks and three digs.

Arlington's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for La Quinta, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Arlington will welcome Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Quinta, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Hemet on the 16th.
