Cascade is 2-8 against Snohomish since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Cascade will face off against Snohomish at 4:00 p.m. Cascade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Cascade barely beat Shorewood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Cascade put the hurt on Shorewood with a sharp 10-3 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

The team relied heavily on Allison Gehrig, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Thompson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Snohomish made easy work of Arlington on Friday and carried off a 9-1 victory. Considering the Panthers have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Abby Edwards made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Amelie Lopez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Rhys Doyle was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Snohomish's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cascade, their record now sits at 2-3.

Cascade suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Snohomish in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Cascade avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
