Baseball Recap: Strasburg Comes Up Short

Strasburg couldn't beat Liberty Common on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Indians lost 12-5 to the Eagles. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since on Tuesday.

Jose Lopez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Taylor Lasecke also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Strasburg has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Liberty Common, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Strasburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Fort Morgan on the 24th. As for Liberty Common, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-5 loss against Resurrection Christian on the 24th.
