Baseball Game Preview: V.R. Eaton Eagles vs. Trinity Trojans

The V.R. Eaton Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Trinity Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

V.R. Eaton is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since February 22nd on Tuesday. They came up short against Byron Nelson, falling 8-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

V.R. Eaton had to settle for second despite strong performances on the mound from James Wharry and Brayden Mashall Wharry tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Mashall didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

Meanwhile, Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to Keller.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 12-7-2. As for V.R. Eaton, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

V.R. Eaton couldn't quite get it done against Trinity when the teams last played back in March of 2019 as they fell 4-1. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
