Football Recap: Westside Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westside can now relate to. They lost 29-8 to the Morgan County Bulldogs on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Seminoles in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Paul Risper threw for 142 yards and one touchdown. Jayden Williams was his top target, picking up 117 receiving yards and one score.

Christian Monfort continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Morgan County, rushing for 103 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries. Monfort is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Morgan County also got a significant boost from Alex Corrias, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 92 yards.

Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Morgan County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Westside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morgan County, they will square off against Miller Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines' defense has only allowed 11.9 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
