Recap: Virginia Episcopal School Bishops vs. St. Christopher's Saints
The Virginia Episcopal School Bishops pushed their score all the way to 60 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Christopher. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (57), Virginia Episcopal School still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Virginia Episcopal School still got an impressive performance from Billy Koudelka, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Koudelka has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Kaloyan Kolev was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven assists and two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Virginia Episcopal School and nudges their season record down to 11-11. As for St. Christopher's, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Virginia Episcopal School will challenge Hargrave Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Christopher's, they will head out on the road to square off against Fork Union Military Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Christopher's is facing Fork Union Military Academy at the right time seeing as Fork Union Military Academy is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
