Basketball Game Preview: Wisdom Pioneers vs. Madawaska Owls

Wisdom is 2-8 against Madawaska since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Wisdom Pioneers will take on the Madawaska Owls at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Wisdom is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 61-12 win over Van Buren.

Meanwhile, Madawaska put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 57-53 W over Central Aroostook.

Madawaska's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Wisdom, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Wisdom didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Madawaska in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 48-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wisdom since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
