Volleyball Recap: Walker's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Walker came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Dalton Catamounts. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Saturday.

Annabelle Rosen paced Walker's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rosen got some help from Samantha Baty and her 28 assists. Sydney Menzie controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, Dalton had strong showings from Andrea Hernandez, who had 20 digs and four assists, and Ellis Robertson, who had 14 digs. Brianna Arteaga also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Walker's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Dalton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season.

Walker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Druid Hills on the 16th. As for Dalton, they will host East Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
