It's playoff time, and Mercy Career & Technical had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 50-44 win over the Girard College Cavaliers on Thursday. Mercy Career & Technical hasn't had any issues with Girard College recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Leading Mercy Career & Technical to victory were Taji Stewart and Jeremiah Ford. Stewart posted 12 points, while Ford had 12 points. Another player making a difference was Elmer Peralta, who scored seven points.

Girard College lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Amadu Mansaray, who went 5 for 8 to rack up 16 points and four steals. Mansaray is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Thomas Kangar, Jr. was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Mercy Career & Technical's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Girard College, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Looking ahead, Mercy Career & Technical will welcome Kohelet Yeshiva at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Mercy Career & Technical is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season. Girard College does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
