Basketball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 56-37 fall against the Mansfield Summit Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Jaguars are ranked 53rd).

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Mansfield Summit, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Centennial and Pebble Hills will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mansfield Summit, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Joshua at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
