Volleyball Recap: Ben Lomond Comes Up Short

Ben Lomond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Ogden Tigers. The Scots were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-8.

Spencer Sartor paced Ben Lomond's offense, picking up six kills. Sartor got some help from Freddy Martin and his 15 assists.

Ogden found their leader in freshman Kos Crowther, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Ben Lomond's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Ogden, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ben Lomond will welcome Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Scots are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ogden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grantsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
