Volleyball Recap: Fairview's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Fairview came into Wednesday's match having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Skyline Falcons by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Fairview had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-22.

Fairview was led to victory by Peyton Weiss and Summer Meek. Weiss had 13 digs and five aces, while Meek had 14 assists and seven digs. That's the most aces Weiss has posted since back in August.

When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, don't look at Audrey Prado-King. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and three assists.

Fairview's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 5-17. As for Skyline, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-18.

Coming up, Fairview will face off against Horizon at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
