Softball Recap: Heritage Huskies vs. Rolesville Rams

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 12-6 defeat at the hands of the Rolesville Rams. Heritage was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rolesville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Wednesday.

Janiah Vargas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs and three doubles. Samantha Langdon was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Heritage was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with five doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rolesville only hit two.

On Rolesville's side, Morgan Warren was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off nine hits. Warren has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances.
