After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kenton Ridge, Urbana was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Northwestern Warriors 12-2. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hillclimbers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Brody Donahoe was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Shane Hoffman, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Urbana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Urbana's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Northwestern, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Urbana is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Kenton Ridge at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
