Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Lutheran Cougars vs. Crothersville Tigers

Trinity Lutheran is 10-0 against Crothersville since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Trinity Lutheran Cougars duke it out with the Crothersville Tigers at 12:00 p.m. Trinity Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, Trinity Lutheran ended up a good deal behind Shawe Memorial and lost 66-49. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Trinity Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marley Warren posted 25 points and three steals. The matchup was Warren's third in a row with at least ten points. Bailey Bonde was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Crothersville had just enough and edged Rock Creek Academy out 40-37 on Saturday.

Crothersville's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Trinity Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Trinity Lutheran against Crothersville when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 67-28 victory. Will Trinity Lutheran repeat their success, or does Crothersville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
