Westview extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-34 win over the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Chargers were the better team in the second half.

As for Lausanne Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.5 points over those games.

Lausanne Collegiate lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Marterius Boyd, who rushed for 74 yards and one score on only six carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 56 yards. Another player making a difference was Keon Cooper, who rushed for 60 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Westview has already played their next contest, a 62-6 victory against Ripley on the 3rd. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-17 win against Evangelical Christian on the 3rd.
