Softball Recap: Tomball Memorial Triumphs

Tomball Memorial never let their opponents score on Friday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Klein Forest Eagles. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Emma Coombs, who gave up just two hits to keep Klein Forest off the board. Coombs has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kamdyn Folsom was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Tomball Memorial's win bumped their record up to 14-8-1. As for Klein Forest, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tomball Memorial will face off against rival Klein Collins at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Klein Forest is set to square off against their familiar foe Magnolia at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
