Basketball Game Preview: Pe Ell Trojans vs. Wahkiakum Mules

The Pe Ell Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Wahkiakum Mules at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pe Ell will be strutting in after a victory while Wahkiakum will be coming in after a loss.

Pe Ell took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They secured a 35-31 W over Oakville.

Meanwhile, Wahkiakum ended up a good deal behind Columbia Adventist Academy on Tuesday and lost 56-41. While losing is never fun, the Mules can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Kodiaks are ranked 80th).

Pe Ell now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Wahkiakum, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Pe Ell ended up a good deal behind Wahkiakum in their previous meeting back in January of 2018, losing 50-31. Can Pe Ell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
