Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Northstar Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Christian). They put the hurt on the Northstar Christian Academy Knights with a sharp 15-5 win on Thursday. Considering the Gryphons have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cole Norman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Philip Long, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Trinity Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Northstar Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Trinity Christian will face off against Immanuel Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gryphons are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northstar Christian Academy, they will challenge Harley Allendale Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
