Nettleton won the last time they faced Walnut and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers walked away with a 76-69 win over the Wildcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Wilbanks, who went 13-for-30 on his way to 31 points along with six assists and five boards. That was a full 44.9% of Walnut's points, marking the 11th time in a row Wilbanks has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Hopper, who shot 67% from the field en route to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Nettleton's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Walnut, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Nettleton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bruce at 10:30 a.m. on the 30th. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games. Walnut and Biggersville will round out the year against one another at 8:30 a.m. on the 29th.
