Northland is 8-2 against Centennial since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northland Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Centennial Stars at 7:00 p.m. Northland will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Centennial's win came from a few key players Northland will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kennedy Houston, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. She has been hot for a while, having also posted four or more steals the last 25 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayla Houston, who went 10 for 20 on her way to 25 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Centennial was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Centennial's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Northland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Northland took a serious blow against Centennial when the teams last played back in January, falling 74-27. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Northland was down 45-17.
