While Hopewell-Loudon's win against Arcadia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chieftains had just enough and edged out the Redskins 5-4 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Chieftains in their matchups with the Redskins: they've now won five in a row.

Brynn Sendelbach and Araceli Velasquez made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Sendelbach pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Velasquez tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Sendelbach went 2-for-4 with two runs, while Velasquez went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on AnneMarie Berg, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple.

Hopewell-Loudon's record is now 9-5. As for Arcadia, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

The future could be bright for both Hopewell-Loudon and Arcadia: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently.
