Volleyball Recap: Kathleen Comes Up Short

Kathleen lost against Lakeland last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Devils lost 3-0 to the Dreadnaughts. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Kathleen was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.

Kathleen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lakeland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kathleen will challenge Haines City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lakeland, they will face off against Bartow at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
