Basketball Recap: Little River Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Thrall last Tuesday, Little River Academy came back down to earth. The Little River Academy Bumblebees fell just short of the Rogers Eagles by a score of 42-39 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bumblebees have suffered since December 20, 2024.

Little River Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Rogers, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-11.

Looking ahead, Little River Academy will head out on the road to square off against C.H. Yoe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Little River Academy is facing C.H. Yoe at the right time seeing as C.H. Yoe is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Rogers, they will square off against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rogers is on a three-game streak of home wins, Franklin a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
