Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yazoo County). Everything went their way against the Vicksburg Gators on Thursday as they made off with a 23-4 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Parker Barron was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Yazoo County got a massive performance out of Gabe Shaffer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Shaffer a new career-high. Myron Straughter was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Yazoo County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vicksburg only managed two hits.
