Basketball Recap: Evansville Harrison Drops Season-High Score on Evansville Mater Dei

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evansville Harrison). They took down the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats 67-52 on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Evansville Harrison was led to victory by Shane Sims and Brooks Thomas. Sims went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Thomas went 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points and eight boards. Sims' evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jay Summitt was another key player, putting up eight points.

Evansville Harrison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Evansville Harrison's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
