Baseball Recap: Spring Valley Vikings vs. Dreher Blue Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dutch Fork, Spring Valley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Dreher Blue Devils with a sharp 10-4 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Jackson Williams and Jacob Smoak did most of the damage at the plate: Williams scored a run while going 1-for-1, while Smoak scored a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Spence, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
