Baseball Recap: Pee Dee Academy Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Pee Dee Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 6-1 to the Williamsburg Academy Stallions. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stallions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Pee Dee Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briggs Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Jones has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Pee Dee Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Williamsburg Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

While Pee Dee Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
