Softball Game Preview: Emerald Vikings vs. Westside Rams

For the second straight game, Emerald will face off against Westside. The Vikings will square off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Emerald hasn't scored more than a single run for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Emerald fell victim to Westside and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Rams.

For Westside's part, Jordan Kirkus was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave Kirkus a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Amelia Wilson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Westside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are 8-3 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
