Baseball Recap: Laurel Highlands Takes a Loss

Laurel Highlands was the 5-2 winner over Connellsville when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Laurel Highlands took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Connellsville on Tuesday.

Sevi Vecchiolla made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Laurel Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Connellsville, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Laurel Highlands will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Elizabeth Forward at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Connellsville, they will face off against Penn-Trafford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
