Football Recap: Alexander Comes Up Short at Home Against Miller

Alexander unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Miller Falcons by a score of 18-15 on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Although Alexander took the loss, they still got scores from Colt Newton and Alex Bateman.

Zander Bice had an outrageously good game for Miller as he rushed for 170 yards and one score while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Bice also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making 11 total tackles.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alexander is headed away from home for the first time to square off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Miller, they will head out to take on Frontier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
