Softball Recap: China Spring Wins Going Away Against Connally

China Spring won the last time they faced Connally and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Cadets with a sharp 17-1 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Caitlin Klement was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Nicole Prestidge, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

China Spring always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for China Spring and bumps their season record up to 16-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Connally, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road.

China Spring will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cadets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
