Lynwood and Paramount both found success in their previous games. Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Lynwood beat Dominguez 21 - 14 last week. As for Paramount, it scooted by Gahr last week with a score of 27 - 7.

After having lost a blowout to Downey in its previous game, Lynwood was happy to get the victory over Dominguez. The team's offense got some extra help from the defense, which forced two interceptions. The win lifted Lynwood to 4-4.

Meanwhile, Paramount started its game with a lot of points -- 20 points in the first half -- and coasted on that for the victory. No one had a larger role in the success than junior running back Al Fisher, who brought his A game into the contest. He ran for 144 yards and punched in one touchdown. The win bumped Paramount's record up to 6-2.

We'll see which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when Lynwood and Paramount clash.
