Softball Recap: North Canyon Comes Up Short

If North Canyon was riding high fresh off their 16-3 takedown of Paradise Valley last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rattlers lost 17-1 to the Buckeye Hawks on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rattlers in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Madison Kirby was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

North Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Buckeye, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
