Volleyball Recap: Elmwood/Plum City Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Elmwood/Plum City prevailed. They had just enough and edged out the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs 3-2. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs on Tuesday, too.

Elmwood/Plum City wouldn't go down easily and took Chetek-Weyerhaeuser into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21, 23-25, 24-26, 15-9.

Aurora Sampair paced Elmwood/Plum City's offense, picking up 15 kills. Sampair got some help from Polly Webb and her 37 assists. Adison Zeilinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Elmwood/Plum City is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Elmwood/Plum City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Durand-Arkansaw on the 25th. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Spring Valley on the 25th.
