Basketball Recap: Marie Philip Takes a Loss

Marie Philip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 29-24 heartbreaker at the hands of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf Lions. The Galloping Ghosts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Faith Kirlis was Marie Philip's leading scorer, having posted 13 points.

Marie Philip's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Marie Philip has already played their next match (against Lexington School for the Deaf), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
