Basketball Recap: Oakridge Comes Up Short

Oakridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 49-38 to the St. Andrew's Highlanders. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1209th, while the Highlanders are ranked 264th).

Despite the loss, Oakridge still got an impressive performance from Aaron Greenberg, who went 7 of 16 en route to 17 points and four steals. The contest was Greenberg's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Miles Frazier, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Oakridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for St. Andrew's, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
