Baseball Recap: Worcester Tech Takes a Loss

Worcester Tech couldn't beat Montachusett RVT on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Eagles fell 11-7 to the Bulldogs. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Anthony Sasso was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Worcester Tech's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 0-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Rj Kniskern, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Worcester Tech has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Montachusett RVT, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6.
