Softball Game Preview: Fike Demons vs. West Johnston Wildcats

Fike hasn't had much luck against West Johnston recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Fike Demons will welcome the West Johnston Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fike is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against Northern Nash, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Demons have lost by exactly ten runs.

Fike saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Sharp, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Sharp has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, West Johnston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to Cleveland.

West Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fike, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-4.

Fike suffered a grim 18-1 defeat to West Johnston in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Fike avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
