Dalton and Northwest Whitfield are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Catamounts will be playing at home against the Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dalton is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Cedartown on Thursday. The Catamounts simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 66-28. The matchup marked the Catamounts' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Northwest Whitfield beat Adairsville 48-35 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bruins' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Tigers are ranked 454th).

Northwest Whitfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Dalton, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Dalton beat Northwest Whitfield 41-33 when the teams last played back in January. Do the Catamounts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
