Basketball Game Preview: North Olmsted Eagles vs. Cloverleaf Colts

The North Olmsted Eagles will take on the Cloverleaf Colts in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Olmsted has given up an average of 55.3 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-34, which was the final score in North Olmsted's tilt against Bay on Saturday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Cloverleaf ended up a good deal behind Norton on Friday and lost 61-46. The game marked the Colts' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

North Olmsted will have to contain Evie Barth as she made an impact in Cloverleaf's last game. She went 7-for-16 to rack up 22 points and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, Barth now owns an excellent 40.6% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Seiwerth, who shot 45% from the field on her way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cloverleaf fell to 6-1. As for North Olmsted, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
