Basketball Recap: Commonwealth Academy Comes Up Short

Commonwealth Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by The Lab School of Washington Dragons 52-23. Commonwealth Academy was down 39-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

It was another big night for Donovan Harris, who on his way to 17 points for The Lab School of Washington. The matchup was Harris' fifth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matai Shacter-Wheeler, who en route to 11 points.

Commonwealth Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for The Lab School of Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: The Lab School of Washington beat Commonwealth Academy by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.
