Soccer Game Preview: Countryside vs. St. Petersburg

The Countryside Cougars will head out to take on the St. Petersburg Green Devils at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Countryside is headed into Wednesday's following a draw, the team's first since November 19. They and Dunedin finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, St. Petersburg put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Lakewood with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Green Devils have won four contests by more than three goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Lakewood from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Brady Weimerskirk led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Countryside's draw makes their record 1-4-2 this season. As for St. Petersburg, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
