Football Game Preview: Pahokee Blue Devils vs. Lake Worth Trojans

The Pahokee Blue Devils will face off against the Lake Worth Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Worth took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pahokee, who comes in off a win.

Pahokee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 41-21 margin over Palm Beach Gardens last Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-0.

Pahokee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Xavier Mitchell led the charge by rushing for 90 yards and two scores on only six carries, while also throwing for 302 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes. Samuel Arnold was another key back, gaining 229 total yards.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lake Worth and Park Vista meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The game between the Trojans and the Cobras didn't end well, with the Trojans falling 21-7.

Pahokee pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points over those games. As for Lake Worth, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Pahokee against Lake Worth in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 44-0 win. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
