Basketball Game Preview: Brookwood Broncos vs. Rockdale County Bulldogs

The Brookwood Broncos will be taking part in a tournament against the Rockdale County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Brookwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

On Tuesday, Brookwood made easy work of Peachtree Ridge and carried off a 66-40 victory. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Rockdale County's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a hard 75-56 fall against Grayson. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Rams are ranked fourth).

Brookwood is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Rockdale County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Brookwood came up short against Rockdale County in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 71-66. Can the Broncos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
