Recap: St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints vs. Pelahatchie Chiefs
The St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints lost against the Pelahatchie Chiefs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. Andrew's Episcopal fell to Pelahatchie 44-39. While losing is never fun, St. Andrew's Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Pelahatchie is ranked 91st).
When it comes to explaining why St. Andrew's Episcopal lost, one person who can't be blamed is Larrson Calhoun. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Calhoun has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Lindsay, who scored five points along with six rebounds and five steals.
St. Andrew's Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Pelahatchie, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-7.
St. Andrew's Episcopal will face off against Heidelberg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pelahatchie, they will be playing at home against Collins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pelahatchie is coming into the game with five straight wins at home, so Collins is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
