Cabell Midland had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They came out on top against the Greenbrier East Spartans by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cabell Midland not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Greenbrier East between 18 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18.

Katie Lawson paced Cabell Midland's offense, picking up eight kills. Lawson got some help from Jillian Yost and her ten assists. Finally, Lucy Johnson kept Cabell Midland's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Cabell Midland's win bumped their record up to 28-4-1. As for Greenbrier East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-14-5.
